Milena Velba Changing Bras

Demolition and time zones

I have already said that today covers the comic roles very different from those usually assigned to it, filling spaces left empty by guiltily emblazoned publishers of literature "Major".
Further proof of this statement may be in a Korean work - published in Italy in 2006 - that recounts a historical event of the Korean War [1] : Bridge Nogunri.
- The Bridge at No what? -
If you thought so, know that words are identical to those that I have passed through my mind reading the title printed on the red cover of this volume of over 600 pages of Coconino Press, part of a project in several volumes, which unfortunately has not yet seen the fulfillment.
Over time I realized: I was behind a wall too high to see that bridge. But let's get the story. The story is
personally experienced by Chung Eun-Yong (one of two authors of the comic and author of one book from which the balloon is taken) that, in 1950, advancing North Korean troops, was forced to flee with his family the village where he lives, and a few days later, separated from his wife, two sons and elderly parents.
The first part of the story focuses on the long flight Chung, about the tragedies which assists displaced persons, the search for the lost family members, to end with the discovery of his wife in the camp No 19002.
The meeting of the two spouses, which normally would be the end of anxiety related to separation is really the tragedy narrated only the prelude to the second part of the story, that much more raw and painful.
Chung, in fact, he learned of the death of his wife and two children of their parents, killed by men who believed in: the American soldiers. In this deposition
Chung added that gathered over the years by the hands of other witnesses, reconstructing the framework of the story: U.S. troops in retreat, falling into an ambush the day before North Korean soldiers disguised as refugees, in July 1950 had encountered in the vicinity of No Gun Ri in the column of refugees was part of the Chung family, fearing the presence of North Korean infiltrators, had decided on a "preemptive strike", the refugees were, therefore, first bombed by planes, then hit by machine-gun bursts, and they had sought shelter under the arches of a railway bridge (the one that gives the title to the book) and had remained there four days and nights without either food or water, targeted by the soldiers killing anyone who dared to move.
When the Americans were gone, the approximately 500 people who had fled, remained alive only in 25, mostly children whose parents had a shield with his body.
These facts, unknown to me - as I said - and I think to most people.
But, as mentioned, the blame for this ignorance not to be found in Korea. It is all in a wall built thousands of kilometers away from No Gun Ri: the Berlin Wall.
of the story, in fact, the Korean and world public opinion, did not know anything until the end of Soviet and American blocs of opposition, until the fall of the wall that has divided a city, a people, the whole world, a wall is too high making it impossible to see those dirty tubes of blood and also gagged with iron and cement invoking the voices of the victims justice.
For Korea, in truth, and the dead of No Gun Ri, the wall was not demolished in 1989, but - irony of the history of time zones - until 1997, when some survivors of the massacre of Koreans, who met in Association, were able to officially denounce the incident.
Their complaint was taken up by the Associated Press reporter who started a serious work of investigation that led them to discover and publish the truth - in spite of disavowals U.S. military - to achieve, for the seriousness and accuracy of the survey, the Pulitzer Prize [for those who are interested in learning more, provides an accurate guide to the Wikipedia.org entry NO GUN RI (in English)].
only evidence of those facts printed in Italy is now a comic book that, far from children's story, it can certainly take place in the libraries of major historical works, characterized by the seriousness and rigor of the testimony autopsy.

EPILOGUE

The first volume of No Gun Ri bridge, however, does not close with the news of the massacre, leading - in the narrative - until the winter of '55. Chung
rides again, as when he had to leave his village. However this time does not run away: go home.
opens the door.
His wife is in bed, and beside her, a baby. Chung him up, the child begins to cry. It also cries
Chung, mixing with tears of joy who is going back to see the future with the pain, yet vibrant, a father stripped of his sons, while the screams of the little fade in the whistle of a train, on its way exceeds the dark of that bridge with two arches on which many times is forced to return.

Korea, after more than three decades of Japanese rule during the Second World War had been occupied by the Soviet army in the north, south from the U.S.. At the end of hostilities, the country was divided into two, with a boundary marked along the line of the 38th parallel. In the northern area that there was a Soviet communist government, a nationalist government in the southern pro-American. On the night of June 25, 1950, the sharp ideological contrast, the very close contiguity, the typical climate of suspicion at the beginning of a cold war, pushed the North Korean troops invade the South, collecting, initially, a series of brilliant successes which led up to the occupation of Seoul. The tide of the war to help balance later, with the counter-offensive of the troops in the South and the conclusion of a peace agreement that confirmed the status existing before the war itself. 1.5 million civilians were killed in the conflict, 1 million North Koreans and 500,000 South Koreans.

What Do The Numbers On Pokemon Cards Mean

stories of struggles between spirits ... the Kubo!

Certo, the subjects and mode of narration of these manga are the most varied, ranging from alien wars, skirmishes from the school, the struggle between good spirits and evil beings, even the holy war between deities of every pantheon imaginable. What unites these stories is that, basically, always fight (to the white, black or through all sorts of super powers to be) concerned.

All this raises an interesting question: if in the end are all fighting manga (and I assure you that there are often, for every famous manga and large following, at least ten pseudo clones that use similar ideas and, at times, cliché characters of the same visual impact) where is the innovation in each work? And, above all, how come they all (even the clones yes, oddly enough) such a large following?

The answer to this question lies in the narrative inventions (often ingenious) that the mangaka (the designers, for instance) have been able to find in the narratives. First, it should be stated a fact: if up to ten years ago, the biggest manga success was built step by step, following a baseline for the most rudimentary and coming, thanks to suggestions from fans and market research, an outcome that was not as well defined in the minds of the authors when the project started, today dedicated a mangaka almost maniacal attention to the writing of a very basic narrative plot more detailed and full of references to be followed during the preparation of the work. That you can guess from perfect and meticulous construction of certain events (the main ones, for instance) that drive the new stories and subplots secondary atraverso situations which enrich the story. The most striking example of this method of "desk study of the plot" certainly belongs to Naruto, manga in recent years has attracted an avalanche of fanatics all over the world.

But what we want to deal with in this article, is not so much the new narrative method adopted by the mangaka, but those sparks of brilliance that make it an easy fight for a manga 'work worthy of attention. In the manga where one leads to thrashing, in the end have been used over the past 30 years all the possible ideas: kicks, punches, weapons, powers or ESP such mutants, innate qualities of the characters, the Cosmo Knights Zodiac and Tsubo (pressure points) in Fist of the North. It would seem that all the cards are played and we can not help but change stories and techniques to make the manga enjoyable.

Far from it, Ladies and Gentlemen. And 'where the inventive genius takes over and comes out with a great invention. In 1986, Akira Toriyama, Dragonball straconosciuto in his now, he invented the technique of spiritual energy: the fighters can access the energy of their minds and in so doing be able to throw off their body masses powerful energy that can distriggure even a planet in one fell swoop. In 1989, another great master, Hirohiko Araki, the third series of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" invented the fighting technique of "Stand": to be intertwined with the spirit of human fighter from which they are emitted, with the powers of all kinds, from the control of the elements, to the ability to change the time and space, inventions and possibilities are virtually endless Araki, so that JoJo has arrived today at a seventh series in which the story in some way, from scratch.

Others have had wonderful ideas and have devised techniques to combat specific for their manga, but what happens in "Bleach" by Tite Kubo Young Japanese mangaka with his stories of spirits is conquering the world, goes beyond simply found innovative.

Beach What's it about? In a world where living beings called shinigami (gods of death), dressed in samurai style (black kimono, Takana, sandals, white socks) that fight and give peace to the spirits of the dead on Earth, before they, because of violence, may turn into a Hollow, hungry monsters of the living soul. Point. Up to here the story of Bleach seems 18477994237237416 version of many stories of ghosts and monsters already told.

But at this point, in practice after only three issues of the manga, Kubo that surprises us and, if you will, shows us a genius out of the ordinary really. Our invents an entire world, Soul Society, where the shinigami live, train, spend their lives as human beings here on Earth, following rules, traditions and lifestyles typical of Japan's 1700 (but with strong influence scientific almost futuristic).

But this is not the shocking thing. Bleach What makes it unique is the vast numbers of characters, each and characterized by a self and its own personality. And each with its own deadly "Zampakuto," the sword of the soul, with which the shinigami fight. And 'the big innovation here. Manga characters with a certain pseudosamurai could not deal with swords, but the swords are not only Zampakuto!

Zampakuto fact Each has its own soul and identity: born together with the shinigami that binds it progressed to him and in him, and is in all respects as a living being rooted in the soul of the shinigami that a simple weapon. But there's more. Each sword is manifested in different ways and has a special power, which makes it unique and inimitable. The Zampakuto, was in their "relaxed" have an outward form of simple Katane (some larger, others smaller, but basically all depicted with the same style and design). However, these swords are, once you know their "name" (and this fact could open a philosophical disquisition, which probably will in a not too distant future), get their event Shikai : a stronger form of the same sword (though often become Zampakuto other weapons, such as shields, daggers, spears or even splits) with at this stage of its own specific power, unique from other swords. M entre their physical appearance remains essentially that of a weapon, the state in Shikai Zampakuto can also occur through a mental projection, in an anthropomorphic form, human or animal different from sword to sword, the hero of the manga, Ichigo sees its Zampakuto, Zangetsu, in the form of an "old" face dug and wrapped in a black coat and threadbare, while Renji Abarai, one of the most captivating of the series co-stars, he sees his weapon, Zabimaru, manifest in the form of a white baboon whose tail is a snake.

But it is the third and final stage, the bankai , that the splendor of Zampakuto and their strength is manifested in better shape: no more swords not simple weapons, sometimes creatures with their own strengths and its own soul, other items of destruction beyond the simple logic of the instrument of war, others, finally, real worlds that trap, in their illusions, their opponents and then shoot them down. The Zampakuto the aforementioned Renji, for example, takes the form of a snake with the face of a baboon made countless blades, while the Zampakuto another character, Tousen, it becomes a place devoid of all sensory perception in which the sole Tousen (blind from birth) can move and hit perfectly.

Ultimately Bleach is a manga that has a history of its deep and full of mystery (something which I will talk about another time) and can count on the genius of an author, Kubo, which for each character, provides not only a past and a story well defined, but also an alter ego and power that go beyond mere physical or mental skills of other warriors that we have been devoted in the past.

How Long Before Period Do Cramps Begin

ORION, L 'forgotten hero. History and

There are people who do not have time to be born, which immediately found the forefront of comic books, anime, merchandisig and more.
Then there are the heroes of paper as Orion. Heroes from the difficult and troubled life, with little recognition and very little visibility. Raise your hand if you remember the animated series dedicated to our hero. It was a fleeting and quick passage in the summer of 1986 when the country began some private stations to broadcast episodes of "Knight Techno Orion" or simply "Orion", adapted for the small screen of a much-loved manga at home (although a few), but virtually unknown in the West. The form in which they were sent to the wave episodes of the series, was in itself unusual: of the 39 episodes which made up, they were sent here by us only 8 in one step! You read right: the series was never broadcast. What is even more strange when you consider that the broadcasters were all private and local, so without any hesitation when it comes to rights.
Our champion is not born but on the small screen, but on the pages of the manga "Ningen Shinzu Orion" created by Tatsuo Yoshimura in 1970, which was never published in Italy, even now that several publishers have decided to fill in some gaps more or less sensational (they have also translated the manga ... Fantaman). But then, as those who can not bring himself to blame to publish a niche product, when a miss is the same niche? Why
its Orion is important, since there are several other similar cases? Because beyond the value of this series as a meteor in the television landscape, it remains important to the role it has played as a precursor of the whole genre of so-called "Japanese Superheroes" or the various Tekkaman, Kyashan, Gatchman etc. Superheroes that were inspired by "yes" to the Americans, but with very marked characteristics, which often insisted on the human dimension of the characters. The tax must be mentioned that the series in Orion is enormous, even without him probably would not have had a viable alternative to the sagas robotics. But why, then this sort of fugitive from justice? The
doubt that a veto on our hero weights more than an oversight is strong. The material is scarce dedicated to him in a suspicious manner outside of Japan. I mean you try to insert "Orion" in any search engine, the results will always be multiples of zero. To get your news from the network have to go digging through specialized sites Nipponese! Some images like the one accompanying this article, and then little information (in Japanese). Yoshimura supervised even after the animated series, is dedicated to charachter design for a well-known toy and leaves the world of comics ... stuff watergate. But this
is another story. We told of a forgotten hero, who as a meteor hurtled down the listings without a trace. If you remember the deeds of the knight in armor fighting his enemies with cries of "Distortion DIMENSIONAL !!!", or" Cosmic Vibration !!!", means that instead of going to play football in the warm summer of 1986 have oziato in front of the tube to resist the call of the road but, like me, you have witnessed a unique event.

Autocad 2010 Insert Png

historieta

When I approached the world of comics, the idea that I had was very common.

The comic was (and could not be) medium of entertainment, of absolute fun, hard to classify as literature, even if it wanted to use to accompany the noun, the attribute 'child'.

As such, it was (the idea that I had, I continue to say) for children and only rarely managed to include titles can be enjoyed even by a mature audience.

This sort of exception was designed by my conscience in trying to find justifications to the fact that I bought Rat-man (which, I admit, I continue to buy).

Historieta, therefore, as the Argentines call the comic book, reflecting the collective consciousness - I believe - that idea a communication tool intended only to entertain child and to distract.

Then the Enola Gay dropped the bomb.

But here I have to take a step back. I have not yet told of my passion for history: those who want to get an idea then I invite you to my office, a room whose walls are completely (and is not an exaggeration) lined with shelves on which books now stand in double row.

Passion in the Passion, then, the Second World War, partly because it comes from that much of the current geopolitical situation and, therefore, is what I try to find explanations for many of the great events of the last century and that just begun, in part because of my mother's aunt and uncle have lived in first person, and when a child was their guest, I have told [it is because of this duality of reasons, when I talk about history, not just thinking to that written with capital "S", the story of generals, the armies of states, but also to infinitesimal fragments that compose it, the story "tiny" of individuals, from "mechanical people and small business"].

But back to where I was: the Enola Gay, the bomb.

About two years ago, I read a history book, "Hiroshima" by John Hersey, published for PIEMME types. This is a collection of the testimonies of six people who were in Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 and survivor as. Little story, then, however, able to clearly light the cruel and relentless was the gear of the story then "capital".

A friend, aware of my passion and knowledge of the reading, he returned with news from Comicstore: talking with Julius discovered that the store was still a rare copy of a comic book that talked about Hiroshima.

confess my doubts, "comic story" was, for me, never find oxymoron intended to composition. The only story in pictures recognize that dignity was that of television documentaries. But here, the images were real, not drawings by which closed in their closet, unaware of reality, throwing china on white sheets to recount, as storytellers, children's tales.

However, when a few days later, I went to Julie, I decided to read the back cover of the comic book in four volumes of Keiji Nakazawa, still printed on the price in pounds (25,000 each, to be exact). Given in full: " Gen Hiroshima is the tragic account of the launch of the first atomic bomb ... . From here I went to see the operation "literary" almost irreverent as to the seriousness and drama of the event narrated. But the fourth continued: "... A poignant autobiographical tale ... . It was the adjective, "autobiographical" in confusion: the bomb, at that time, had been dropped on my convictions and had left them in ruins. An autobiography, as a direct evidence that the six survivors of Hersey's book but the author had decided not to include the pages of a book publishing house of a noble, but in a comic book.

The fact beginning to take on new contours.

I bought four books and started reading, unconsciously - I think - to try to refute the story by comparing it with the book, that "serious" and acknowledge that in which I had always believed. But the more I enter in reading more I realized that what was reported by Nakazawa identical to what they had seen six of Hersey, with particularity, however, what you see now was a witness made to pictures, real pictures in strips of china . Photographs, moreover, in which the stretch was able to express the feelings of the photographer (the power that a photographer is often denied).

If I had read the book before January Piemme probably - because it was a cartoon and because I was what I was - I would have found exaggerated and I confirmed my ideas about historieta: for example, when Nakazawa, in some strips, drawing people with the skin, dissolving, slipping away from the limbs. But skin melted Hersey also spoke of the six. So I understand. Nakazawa

not paint: sketching.

It was his historieta historia.

Today, after two years, I devour comic historians consider to what in reality are reports, documents of equal dignity libroni covered by the covers, rents with no word and image.

'm a turncoat.

not speak for the time, subsequent readings (I will not burn once the material for future articles), but I want to emphasize a curiosity.

The back cover of Gen of Hiroshima continued with comments. I report a " Gen is one of the few comics that are now in a position to make a spell: to give birth to those little marks on paper from real life. This intense and harrowing story will burn in your memory like a radioactive crater and you'll never forget it .

are the words of that for me, then, was only a name written in capital letters: Art Spiegelman.
